Parts, for things!

Here’s a few images from various projects I’ve been working on recently.

Some of these have NDA’s attached, so descriptions might be a bit vague. The title image above is of some CNC’d parts made from Prodec 304/304L stainless on our unversity’s VF2. I found the speeds and feeds advice from NYCCNC’s Youtube Channel to be spot on.

alttext The small piece of spring steel on this is a wear item that fits in the shallow recess.

alttext Aluminum frame assembly.

alttext Small flywheels for a gyro stabilizing mechanism, milled using superglue for workholding. Again, NYCCNC’s advice on this is spot on.

alttext Here’s a camera bracket for a side-by-side camera rig. The 1/4-20 tapped plate is for additional accessories.

alttext A small gearbox housing– this one was fun as they were the first things I turned on my old South Bend 9A after rebuilding it.
